A method of switching stylesheets using PHP is described here. It requires cookies, but not Javascript. An earlier article describes how to do it with Javascript.

Munsell Color Picker in a Flash plugin at TripleCode. The Munsell Palette is a perceptual system, and the data is from studies done in the 1930's. Interestingly, the color picker software was initially written for high-end workstations at the MIT Media Lab but is now accessible through a web browser.
